How it's built

The pipeline runs in six named stages: intake, extraction, enrichment, rules, scoring, recommendation. Each stage can be stopped and read on its own — its inputs, its outputs and why it produced them.

Every extracted value carries a citation back to the source document and the location within it. An underwriter reviewing a decision sees the page the number came from, not just the number.

The scoring stage is explainable by design: the factors, their weights and the resulting band are on the file. A recommendation an underwriter cannot interrogate is not one they will sign.
